Contemporary Revelations

The Last of My Kind

This town was mine. I was never wrong.

But things have changed and I’ve stayed too long.

You can cry all night. It won’t be heard.

I’m moving far away from this herd.

I’ve walked this road, heel to toe,

but my shoes are worn, it’s time to go.

Don’t follow me now I don’t care.

I’ll even hold my thumb out in the air.

I’ll find a new place to call my home

I’ll find a nice place to carve the stone.

Yes I’ll build my church from the ground up.

I’ll bring the wine and I’ll fill my cup.

Don’t call me, I give no mind.

It seems that I’m the last of my kind
